Why is my parcel still in customs?

China customs have my parcel held for well over a month pending investigation. The original seller has taken down the advert so I can’t contact them for help. I’ve tried ringing my local sorting office and had no luck. I ordered a coat, nothing strange about it. Just a unbranded coat yet customs have had it since the 17th of October and I’ve had no information as to when I’m getting it. My tracking number is LO289262819CN

Not sure what the problem is for it. The seller should have got a notice fro the custom about why it's retained there. You can only try to contact the seller to refund you if you couldn't receive it.

Hello,
I am sending a parcel to China with shipment number CY286806193DE, and the parcel is in customs for the last 3 months.
I understand the customs declaration materials should be submitted. But the customs declaration forms stating the details you mentioned in the last answer (importer details, goods description, value...) is attached on the surface of the parcel in an envelope.
The DHL asked us - the sender - to provide these details when we sent the parcel.
Could you please check the parcel again and see the documents attached.
Is there any other problem with the package?

Hello everyone,

I have sent a return to China. The parcel has been at customs in China since 26.06.2024. There have been no new updates since then. I have already started a forwarding order with Deutsche Post, they also assured me that the parcel is still at customs. The recipient has also contacted customs, also without success. Can you please check the status of the parcel and ensure that it reaches the recipient promptly?
