Why I need to go to qingdao to take my parcel?

Hi, I inquired about my parcel on 7th october 2017, it did reach china and now is in Qingdao. My destination is Weifang but the qingdao post office told me to go to qingdao to receive my parcel. I called the qingdao office and they said I need to bring my ID because they need for verification. This never happened before so I don't understand why I need to go to qingdao when I clearly wrote my destination as Weifang. P.S-There are no illegal stuff in my parcel, only some eatables and clothes.

Hi Tresia Aribam,

You'd better call China Post service number 11183 to reflect your problem. They will verify if you are the correct one to receive the parcel by asking some questions. If your answer is right, you can require them to deliver it to Weifang to your detailed address. Better let a Chinese friends to call for you if you couldn't speak English. They have the English service that is press 8 after you hear voice after dailing 11183, but I'm afraid it's hard to get. You can have a try.
