Why has a returned phone to China delayed

I purchased a phone from AliExpress but didn’t function as android so l returned it on 27th November 2024 and yet has not been received by the seller for a refund to be paid.
Please do assist me

Hi,
I tried to get a parcel delivered from China to France (a few old journals for research), but it was returned to the retailer after being stopped in customs - I had my phone number and email address written on the parcel, but didn't receive any additional warning, so I don't exactly know what happened. My tracking number is the following: CP390953142CN.
