China post says my package is delivered to my town but Canada post has no info at all about that tracking number

Hi, I have a package mailed from China to Canada, but the status has been "International item has left originating country and is en route to Canada" for a week now. I have been working with the same sender for a long time, and usually I'd receive the package by now, just wondering where it is. Hope it's not lost. Could you please look into this?
