What to do when parcels have been detained for a period of time?

I've received two of five parcels. One seems to be on its way. However two have been detained in Beijing and has been so for a while.

It has been at customs in Beijing being inspected for over a month now and no contact has been made. I have no way of contacting either. It's a bit worrisome at this point because I need the contents of package for my daily life here. I have tried calling China Post but Chinese is poor and the English line has no English speaker.

You'd better contact the recipient in China to let him/her check the message of smart phone at early October. There should be notice about how to get it.

I am the recipient and I have not received any message that's why I keep enquiring. I don't think my number was placed on the box.

I am being told that they can not help and I need to contact custom which in unlikely since I have no contact for them.
