what is registration fee?

Other Fees:

There is no customs clearing fee on correspondence for small parcels. Besides the fee for parcel itself based on weight, there are others fees you need to pay:

1. Registration fee: CNY 8

On those sentences, whats registration fee?
and its for air, ship parcels?

If you pay for the registration fee, it means the parcel could be tracked and more safe. If you don't, it couldn't be tracked and may takes a longer time to reach the destination country even it's more easy to be lost on the way. Besides, you couldn't get any compensation if it's lost.
