what does it mean when it says "delivered at mailbox" at a USPS site

The package is coming from Chica, to Illinois..I tracked it to New York, and then Maryland. It says it was delivered to a mailbox in Maryland. I don't know if is: mis-delivered, 3or has more stops to make!!

Hi ldpasier,

In general, if it's not delivered to your address, you need to contact the seller to ask if the tracking number is right. The seller may give you a tracking number of another customer. If the number is right, he may filled the address by mistake. If all are right, you need to contact USPS to reflect the problem and check it for you as soon as possible. You need to require the seller give you a solution (refund you or send one again to you) if you couldn't get it at last.

I've looked on my email at the tracking and it came up has delivered but it has not ive tried contacting sender and they say it's been delivered to the mailbox but which mailbox did you send it too my tracking number is AM348023437CN could you please find out where my parcel is and which mailbox you sent it too has this is an important parcel thank you
