What does EME mean and why is my parcel held in China customs?

|

My parcel (sent from the UK) has been at China customs since 31st October - now 19th November. It travelled from the UK through various places in China and is now being held. The items are clothing that I am returning as they are substandard and I am now waiting for them to sign for the parcel to enable a refund. This was posted in the UK on a track and sign system on 21st October! Please, someone tell me what is happening.

Hi Annoyed,

If it's stuck at the customs, the receiver in China should have got a notice from the customs about how to get it. You'd better contact the receiver to ask.

Thank you for advising parcel referenced RN014958579GB is currently held by customs. As suggested, I contacted the seller but they refuse to acknowledge or assist. They simply state that they are not responsible if the parcel is lost or held by Customs and I will only be offered a refund if they receive it. Please advise what I can do to resolve this.

Dear sir/madam,
I have a parcel mailed via SingPost from Singapore to China, tracking no. CC922449895SG. This parcel is shown as "Held at customs". May I ask if my parcel can be retrieved? If yes, what are the procedures to be taken?

Thanks,
