I sent a parcel from the UK to Hong Kong (tracking number RN798648445GB) but somehow it has ended up in China...will it be forwarded to Hong Kong or returned to me?

It's from Guangzhou to Hong Kong now. You'd better wait for more days to see it arrives in Hong Kong.
