Shipping bicycle from Shenzhen to US

Hi!
I need to ship bicycle in two cartons: 104*18,5*60cm and 109*22,5*47cm. The carton weight is about 8kg for each. In local China Post office they said they are not allowed to ship bicycles. Did they try to mislead me? Is this carton size is OK to be shipped by China Post?

Yes, China Post couldn't ship bicycle to other countries. They don't cheat you.

How about bicycle frame? I mean not a complete bike, but just frame only or frame + fork.

I think China Post could post bicycle to other countries. The size and weight are both ok if you use China Post large package service. One of my friends living in Xinjiang once delivered a folding bicycle to UK but it troubled him for several days as China Post has so many requirements. May be there are different regulations for different post offices in China.

I have called to China Post contact line. They said only folding bikes can be accepted.
The question is if it's allowed to ship bike frame only?

Why not ask China Post by calling again. Their answer will be authoritative. It seems no one here have done that like you.

I can see a lot of items like bicyce frames to be shipped from Aliexpress or Ebay by China Post Air Parcel internationaly.
The problem is that China Post office staff is not quite professional to know their own standards and regulations. For example, just yesterday they tried to persuade me that carton with 80cm length is not allowed to be shipped until I have pointed to size limitation in thier own office book to show that max length can't exceed 105cm.

Sellers on Aliexpress or Ebay don't delivery those items from China Post office. They use delivery agents to do them for you. As they have a large amount, they have privilege I think.
