Returned from customs means

Hi! So I sent a mail to china, and the latest update said “Returned from customs” after “item for custom examination” What does this mean? Is it gonna be returned to my country? Thank you please answer me.

I've never seen "Returned from Safety Check Point". I'm assuming the parcel is back on track and still coming to the United States? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
