Request package return to sender

|

Hello, I sent a package early last month to China (I’m from USA) and it looks like the person I sent it to is not there anymore. Is there a way to request the item to return to me? My tracking CH128419890US. I tried the Chinese post numbers but no English option. Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi benneX,

You couldn't contact China Post in English. Only Chinese language is available. You need to contact the receiver in China to help you call China Post to require it returned back to you.

Return to Sender Request: USPS Package stuck at Chinese Customs (3 replies)

Hello, I am the sender and I made a mistake on the shipping address to the recipient in Hunan, China.

It is currently held at the “Chinese Import Customs On-Hold for user to pay taxes” for almost 3-4 months. I wish to request to have the package return back to me (the sender).

My USPS tracking number is: CH159633601US. I cannot find a working email address for the Chinese Import Customs in Beijing. Someone please help. Just need my package return back to the sender.

What Happens If a Package Sent to China Might Not Comply with Local Regulations? (0 reply)

I sent a package to China from Turkey recently, but after shipping it, I realized that the contents might not comply with Chinese local regulations. To address this, I promptly submitted a return request in cargo branch to prevent any issues. However, I’m not sure if the return request was processed in time.

The tracking currently shows 'The item was forwarded to the destination country (Otb),' but I’m uncertain whether the package has entered China or is still in transit.

What are the typical procedures in such cases? If the package arrives in China and the contents are flagged, is it common for it to simply be returned to the sender? Does submitting a return request indicate that I was trying to proactively address the situation?

I’d appreciate any insights on how such situations are usually handled and what steps I should take next.
