Postage to US for birthday

Small parcel contains 6 child's Noddy books, 300 grams imported chocolate.
Weight = < 2gk on Chinese Government certified retail store scales.
Delivery: circa 9th March 2019- approx 40 days from today's date.
What is most cost effective delivery please?

China Post small packet by air is the best way to send it. You can go to your nearest post office to send.

I did look at that option but China post states on their site somewhere that FOOD is excluded. I guess chocolate counts as food so.....
What about the small E package?
I can not find any restriction on that other than size and weight.
