Phone number not indicated on package to recipient

I read in the FAQ that a phone number is important. I was unaware of this when I returned the above package to
Qingdao Love Hair Products Co Ltd, Ligezhuang village, Ligezhuang town, 2663 JIAOZHOU, Qingdao, China.
Could this be the reason it hasn't been delivered yet?
The contact number is 18953233976.
What happens in the event the recipient does not pick up the package when contacted? Will I be informed of this?

Your package hasn't arrived China yet. The absence of phone number is not the reason. I fing your package will be delivered to a company. I think China Post could send it there without the contact number.

According to the Tracking ref in Ireland, the package left for China on 24 August. I find it hard to believe that it hasn't arrived in China 16 days later? I read in your FAQ that Postal Services in China do not deliver packages to the addresses. Recipients are requested to pick the package up from the Post Office and this is the reason a contact phone number is required? I am glad however to hear the package CAN still be delivered in the absence of a phone number. Thank you for clarifying this for me. Still puzzled to hear package hasn't arrived in China yet.

[Exchange Bureau in Beijing] import opening?
Any idea how many more days before its delivered?

Yes, the package has been in Beijing on Sep. 11.
Your package is packed together with other packages from abroad in a large package, the large package needs to be opened and divided into small ones. [Exchange Bureau in Beijing] import opening means the large package is opened and the small packages are seperated to deliver to different places later. The latest information shows your package is in domestic transit to Qingdao now.
