Parcel stuck at custom / parcel status

Sent a parcel over and receiver updated me that they received a call that the parcel is stuck at the clearance due to some tax or declaration issue. Kindly assist as to how to proceed.

Thank you for the reply. Checked with the receiver in China but they were informed that they are unable to do anything on their end and requires actions from my end instead.
Will appreciate your follow up to this matter.
In the event that this matter does not resolve, can i ask if the parcel can be sent and returned back to me and what are the procedures to it?

Follow up from previous enquiry, Checked with the receiver in China but they were informed that they are unable to do anything on their end and requires actions from my end instead.

It should be waiting for the receiver in China to pay the tax or declare to the customs now. You'd better contact the receiver in China and let him check through authorized tax collection system (http://int.ems.com.cn/mailtax) to check and pay.
