hi,
I live in Australia and not planning on visiting China soon so it is impossible for me to return to Xining post office. I took the contents of the parcel into the post office in Xining and each item was individually wrapped by a very pleasant assistant. Why didn't the parcel travel to me?
I would prefer to have the parcel but if it is lost how do I apply for compensation electronically?

It's hard to get compensation from China Post to my experience. And it's hard to contact China Post from other countries. But you can try. Call +86 10 11185 and for English service press 8 after the call is got through.

I have tried to call without success before. How is that a country with China's advanced technology can't even provide external contact from other countries? The post office was happy enough to take our money.
By the way the message " your question has been replied" should more correctly be " your question has been answered"
I am very disappointed with China post. While your service is appreciated you haven't really helped to solve the problem. Pointing out the inadequacies of China Post isn't getting my parcel to me.
I hope such an occurrence is not common, otherwise it would be frustrating for you,

Many users have refelected the problem that China Post is hard to get connected from other countries. We'll try to reflect this to China Post and hope they could solve the problem as soon as possible.

It was sent on Sep. 2 last year and returned back then. After it was returned it was sent again and lost on the way.
Are you the sender, Mark? If you are and you still in China, you should go the post office where you send it to ask for compensation.
