Package stuck in customs

My package arrived and the tracking information states
in CHINA, GUANGZHOU, Held in Customs -> Your item is being held in Customs at 2:48 pm on August 20, 2020 in GUANGZHOU, CHINA.
How do I confirm why it is there and how long does this usually take?

Hi rmcd,

If the receiver doesn't receive a notice from the customs to do something, it should be released in 15 days in normal.

Hello,
my DHL package is stuck in customs. The receiver is unwilling to contact customs and pay the possible fee to release the package. How can I contact customs and pay the fee, if required, so that the package can be finally shipped to the seller. It's a return from a order.

Received a email stating my package was stuck in customs waiting inspection. When I pulled it up it's saying accepted. Does that mean it's no longer stuck in customs and on the way to me?
