Package stuck at “handed over to airline”

Hi, my package is stuck at handed to airlines since 25th of September . It’s now 6th of October and it still hasn’t moved. The seller used fast track service and it was meant to be at my door today. I found this very odd and I’m worried because it’s a birthday gift. Could it have been stolen or lost? Really worried as it’s unusual for me. The seller only has the same tracking as we do. Please help EV935079819CN

Thanks for the reply, so what does it mean “handed to airline or dispatch to UK” does it mean it’s stuck in China and there are no flights or could it have been held in customs for some reason? Is this a normal thing? Please let me know what that status means and why it would be stuck there for so long. Thanks
