Thanks for the prompt replies. I need to ask a few questions:
1. is this package trackable when it gets to Pakistan? I checked it on the Pakistan Post website and shows Send Item Abroad (EDI Received) on two dates- 23rd and 28th of July, Does this mean it has left China already?
2. What will be the next tracking update for example will it show the package is on a flight or has arrived in Pakistan? Some tracking websites even show outbound flight departed instead of handed over to airline transport so it's a bit confusing to me.

Hi sammyd2k,
It may couldn't be tracked when it arrived in Pakistan as it's sent by using China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus which is a cheap service of China Post.

That's strange. I paid extra for it to be trackable all the way but perhaps the seller shortchanged me. Its a CD and I paid two more dollars for it to be tracked all the way. On the Pakistan post website and other tracking sites, Send Item abroad/ EDI does show up when i put in the tracking number so does that mean Pakistan Post can track it? Any idea if it has left China yet?

If you have paid two more dollars for it, it should could be tracked all the way. Send Item abroad/ EDI does show up on Pakistan post website means Pakistan Post can track it. It's still in China and hasn't left.

Can you please update me on the status of the package. I have not seen any change since the last update. it's been on "handed over to airlines" for a month now.
I hope it has left China now and will be delivered soon.

It still takes about 7-30 days to leave China. You need to wait for more days to get update.
