It has a been a month without any updates from the tracking. Why is it taking so long?

Your package is sent by using ePacket. It should be reached US within 10 working days. As it was sent out on Oct. 26, you should get it earlier. But the tracking systems shows it's still not arrive US. I asked EMS for you in China and they said there must be some problem in transportation process by air. You need to contact the sender and let him reflect the problem to where he sent it out. The post office then will check what's wrong with it.
