Not sure what is happening to parcel. Usps now over to origin post

My parcel was enroute to its destination of New Zealand. Had its normal stop over in Japan but then ended up going to Shanghai, seemed a little strange at first as I've order a few parcels from the states and never had this.
I've checked a few global tracking sites and they all seem to be"import terminated"

So just wanting some clarity on what's happened and why it seems like it's just gone missing

Hi Benmalone84,

It's from Japan to the destination now. You'd better contact USPS to check if it's normal.

Hi regarding the answer that I have received from you, "It has left China and is in transit to the US now. You can not know the exact situation when it's in the middle locations. It usually takes about 20-40 days to reach and there will be further update when it arrives." Does this mean that it is on the way to the US on a plane right now? because when I checked with USPS today it stated that "Your package is on its way to a USPS facility.", "Tracking number created" and had a status of pre shipment stated "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" Would this mean that the package has arrived to the US sorting facility but hasn't been picked up by the USPS? or is the package still in China waiting to be shipped to US?

Last tracking was onthe 14 of September but that weas only 1 update this month. It was shipped out last month (August)

What is happening on 17track indicates it is somewhere in the Shanghai, Shanghai International Mail Exchange
But on China Post track: indicates: Return.
So 2 diferent information makes no sense.. When will i get my parcel to australia ?
