Not received my order

I made an order on the 26th of November 2018 to the UK it said it would be expecting my Item on the 31st of December 2018. It is now the 12th of January 2019 and I still have not received my item. I have contacted the seller and he keeps telling me no to worry but not give me any update on my item.

When I track my item use my local delivery/post office it tells me that the item is leaving originating country and it has been for someone time. The last update I received was that I was Despatch from Sorting Center neromous time on the 6th of December 2018 could you please tell me why???
