My parcel has been with customs a long time

Hi, my parcel states that it has been at Guangzhou City, import customs retention pending inspection since 31/08/2021.
Could you explain why this may be & how long it will be there for?

Hi Eng123,

It should be waiting for the receiver in China to declare to the customs now. You'd better contact the receiver in China to ask if he has received the notice from the customs. If no, let him check through authorized tax collection system (http://int.ems.com.cn/mailtax) to check.

I purchased an Amplifier and it's still in the process of shipping, BUT the tracking information of my parcel hasn't been updated in a long period of time. It's been over a two week now, there is NO update of my parcel on the tracking website.
It says my parcel was Held by Customs in China. This is my first time ordering from another country. I don't know if my parcel is stuck somewhere or if there is any sort of problem in Customs.
I am helpless now, I don't know what to do now.
