Need help trying to get a package from Guangzhou, CHN, China

Hi, I sent a package from USA to a friend in Taiwan on 12/07. CH084853487US is my tracking number. It has taken an odd route, usually passing through Tokyo, then to Taiwan. This time, it landed in Shanghai 3-4 days ago. Although I put Taiwan as the destination, I now see the postal worker typed in “China”, which is a different location (PRC) from the ROC. I’m worried what will happen now. Will my package be forwarded to Taiwan? The address that is handwritten by me is correct, but now I think the post office typed it in wrong. Thanks for your insights or advice!

I sent a handmade gift to a friend in New Taipei City, Taiwan on August 23, 2023 via US Postal Service. The tracking shows that it arrived in Taipei on September 27, and it has not moved since. It is now December 19. My friend contacted the post in Taiwan and they could not find the tracking number in their system. He has not received any notice that import fees were due and we do not know the status of the package.
My USPS tracking number is: UH051345748US.
If you could please help me locate the package and resolve the issue, I would really appreciate it. The item is one-of-a-kind and handmade, and I put many hours into it, so this is very concerning to me.
