China customs will charge tax for packages sent from other countries if it exceeds some value. And some specific items need to be taxed. You'd better let the recipient to inquire the customs for details.

My parcel EV986076604CN from China to Botswana has been at Guangzhou Customs since 17 July 2021.

Why such a long time for outbound parcel? When will it be released?
