I contacted the seller a couple days ago because it looked like my item was being returned
they got back to me and apologized for the confusing tracking information and stated that the item was in the US or something like that
to confirm this item IS being returned to the seller right?

It's delayed due to the coronavirus situation in Guangzhou. It hasn't been returned back to the seller but is neither go to the US at present. It's stuck at Guangzhou customs now.
