Why does it say my parcel has arrived in destination country a week ago (UK) yet it does not appear to be progressing when I try to track it ?

I was sent a tracking number from china but when i decided to check for my parcl,this is what i got *CP310084944CN is invalid Number! China Post has not received this parcel.
Make sure you get correct tracking number and your shipper has really shipped the parcel, then track again!* Please help me i dont knpw if truly the number is invalid or my parcel hasn't been shipped. Thanks
