What will happen with my parcel, if I am not home on the day the parcel is delivered?
Will it be taken back to the post office? Will I be notified to go and pick it or will they contact me to re-deliver it?

The delivery man usually call your phone number to let you pick it at your place. If you couldn't get it on the day, you can tell him the time you could get it and let him deliver on the day. If he couldn't contact you successfully, he will take the parcel back and then try to delivery the next day. But it he couldn't contact you for two or three times, it may be returned back to the sender.
