Held in Customs China since 25 Dec - Do I need to do anything?

My parcel is logged as being 'Held in Customs' since 25 Dec and I have not had any updates or correspondence since. Do I need to do anything to get my parcel released? Should someone have contacted me? I'm not sure if I'm supposed to just be waiting or I should be paying duty or something to get it released? Any insight appreciated.

It's waiting for the receiver in China to pay for the tax now. The receiver should have got the notice about how to pay for it.
