Now the update is saying "u.s. foreign imports cancelled" I have been waiting since Sept 18th 2021. Should I contact my financial institution to get my money back? Tracking number is LY894975694CN. I have sent several messages to the only contact info I have from the seller with no response

If the seller doesn't reply you, try to contact your bank or visa company to ask for a charge back. Or, open a dispute from the platform you buy it to get refund in time.

It didn't pass the customs check in the US on November 21. You'd better wait for more days to see if it could be released in the next check. If it will be returned back to China, contact the seller to give you a solution as soon as possible.
