$400 extra shipping ???

I just ordered a music instrument from a dealer in China for delivery to US. They just notified me that there are issues with shipping and that there could be additional fees of up too $400.00 US dollars, more that half the cost of the order. Is this true or is the dealer dishonest?

Hi ZTA,

Does the seller use e-packet to send it? In view of the large-scale suspension of airlines under the impact of the coronavirus, the international freight rates have risen sharply. China Post has charged additional Airline fuel surcharge for e-packets to most of the countries from April 28, 2020.
