According to the recent changes for international transportation costs, China Post plans to lower the surcharge standards for some European and American transport charges for aviation e-mail and agreement customers’ international parcels from July 7. Among them, transportation surcharge for most of the packages to Europe are cancelled, and to the United States, it is greatly reduced to 15-20 yuan/kg.

Announcement on Adjusting the Standards of International Packet Costs of U.S. Direction Mail
Affected by the changes in the rates of overseas cooperative postal terminals, the operating costs of some of China Post’s US-directed businesses faced a significant increase. Although China Post has adopted a series of cost reduction measures, the current tariffs still cannot afford the rising costs. In order to ensure the sustainable operation of the business, China post plans to adjust the rate for some products to the US from 0:00 on July 1. The adjusted rates are as follows:
1. E-Packet to US (including transportation surcharge): "25 yuan / piece + 100 yuan / kg, from 1 gram".
2. China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus to US (including transportation surcharges): 30g and less than 30g " 22.5 yuan / piece"; additional weight 30g-80g (including 30g and 80kg) " 96 yuan/kg "; additional weight over 80g, "96 yuan/kg ".
3. Registered small parcel to US (including transportation surcharge): 0g to 150g (including 150g) "39 yuan/piece +94.89 yuan/kg", 150g to 300g (including 150g and 300g) "39 yuan/piece +93.89 yuan/kg", above 300g" 39 yuan/piece+92.89 yuan/kg".
The above rate is only valid for shipping online. The rate for those shipping from China Post office directly will remain unchanged.

Announcement on VAT Rate to Increase to 15% in Saudi Arabia
From July 1, 2020, Saudi Arabia will increase 15% VAT (value added tax ) rate on incoming mails (letters, parcels, and EMS) that contain items from all postal channel.
Customers are requested to fill CN22 and CN23 accurately and completely, and the value of items inside and the currency used need to be clarified.
